Review 17: Series 2 Episode 8 The Idiot’s Lantern Doctor Who

I am going to be reviewing the 8th episode of series 2 of Doctor Who called The Idiot’s Lantern. I have to be honest here in saying that after watching this episode, for some reason, I was terrified of it.You probably won’t be scared of it though because I get scared of the weirdest things.
This episode all about the queen’s coronation. The only problem is when The Doctor and Rose arrive there they think they are in America but they are actually in the UK. Rose notices something suspicious from the start. She noticed that in one street almost every house had a TV aerial, but her mum said that they were quite rare when she was a kid. They find out the seller of all these televisions, a man named Mr Magpie owner of Magpie Electricals. He claimed that they were cheap because of the coronation, but the Doctor and Rose weren’t falling for that.
They soon pick up that a boy named Tommy Connelly lived on a street where people are taken by men in black from there houses covered in blankets and never seen again.

Review 16: Series 2 Episode 6+7 Rise of the Cybermen/ Age of Steel Doctor Who

Today I will be reviewing the 2 part episode of Doctor Who called Rise of the Cybermen and Age of Steel.
This episode opens with the doctor, rose, and mickey in the TARDIS. Mickey is holding down a button while the doctor and rose are telling some weird stories. Then when mickey lets go and they continue talking suddenly they fall out of the time vortex and crash. The doctor says tharurpt it isn’t possible and that outside the TARDIS doors would be some kind of wasteland. They end up being in London, but not the london you would expect. It’s actually a parallel earth where the primeminister is called a president and Pete Tyler, rose’s da is still alive.
The TARDIS has broken down but the doctor and mickey find a Galifreyan enerygy source that can take them home but justs needs 48 hours to recharge.So they walk about for a bit. Rose desperately wants to see her dad but the doctor refuses. Rose finds out that she doesn’t even exist on the parallel earth, she was never born.
Mickey find his nan, who has pasted away on normal earth. But to his surprise he was dragged away by his so called friend in a van.
Meanwhile, the doctor and rose are walking the the town centre and everyone stops and there bluetooth ear pods start to flash. Rose’s phone bleeps and it says that there is a cybus industries update. The doctor clicks Joke and in unison all of the people laughed. How mysterious.

Review 15: Series 2 Episode 5 The Girl In The Fireplace Doctor Who
Howdy people of Tumblr
Today I am going to be review one of the saddest episodes of Doctor Who called The Girl In The Fireplace.
The episode opens with a future peak of a french house with the background noise of terrified screams. The people are screaming at the creepy Clockwork Robots. A woman and a man are in a bedroom and the woman is solely talking about one man to come and save them, The Doctor.
Then another scene opens in the TARDIS with Rose Tyler, The Doctor, and new companion Mickey Smith. They end up on a space station 3000 years in the future.They find many things including a fireplace. It was a double sided fireplace but on the other side looked like an airlock but when you looked through the fireplace there was an 18th century french bedroom in there. This girl ends up growing up with the doctor visiting her every few years but for the doctor it a few minutes. This girl/woman’s name is Reinette Poisson (Madame de Pompadour in her later life.)
This episode is a very sad one. It also has many ‘jumpy’ parts.But you’re going to have to watch it yourselves readers.

Review 14: Series 2 Episode 4 School Reunion Doctor Who

Today I’ll be reviewing the 4th episode of series 2 of Doctor Who called School Reunion.
This episode opens with a mysterious headteacher walking dow a hallway when he notices a student sitting outside his office. She says that she doesn’t feel well. He asks about parents but she lives in a children’s home. So this strange head takes her into his office. Screams follow. This fades into a classroom headed by none other tan The Doctor teaching physics to a bunch of teenagers. He asks the class many challenging questions but the same student answers then. To The Doctor’s surprise this student, Milo, has ‘knowledge way beyond planet earth.’ The Doctor goes to lunch and is served by Rose, as a disguised dinner lady who’s clearly not impressed by her job or the progress made on their investigation made by Mickey Smith.
Later on the doctor goes to the staff room. Mr Finch, the creepy head, shows in journalist. The Doctor knows her as Sarah Jane Smith. She does finsd out who is is but it’s hard as the doctor can regenerate.
After school they all investigate together. They find: Vacuum packed rats, weird oil, and most of all ALIEN BATS.

Review 13: Series 2 Episode 3 Tooth And Claw Doctor Who

This is a review on episode 3 of series 2 of Doctor Who called Tooth and Claw.
This episode opens with the doctor playing ‘Hit me with your rhythm stick’ by Ian Dury in the TARDIS as he wants to take Rose to see a punk show in the 80s. They end up in Victorian Britain were they meet and iconic lady. This lay is HRH Queen Victoria during her reign. She has been forced to travel and stay in Scotland as she is, supposedly, under threat of assassination. Ironically, the estate in which she was to stay in is named The Torchwood Estate, sound familiar. The doctor and Rose decide to tag along, walking behind her majesty’s carriage. When they arrive they are greeted by their host names Sir Robert. He owns the estate, which he was left by his father. They are shown into the house and the servants of Queen Victoria unpack her belonging, including a vital object, the Koh I Noor Diamond. As Queen Victoria, Rose, The Doctor, Sir Robert, And Queen Victoria’s personal captain sit for dinner they get into a conversation about werewolves. It seems there is a legend of a werewolf that hunts at night in that part of scotland. But is that story true in theis episode. You’ll have to watch for yourselves readers.

Review 12: Series 2 episode 2 New Earth Doctor Who
Hey people of tumblr,
Today I am going to review the 2nd episode of series 2 of Doctor Who called ‘New Earth.’ I am being truly honest in saying that when I first saw this episode I was so scared that I nearly peed my pants! Anyway, I don’t really know why I got so scared but I’m over it now.
This episode opens with The Doctor and Rose in the TARDIS, when they land they are on the planet New Earth inthe town ship of New New York but by that time it was ‘Strictly Speaking it’s the fifteenth New York, which makes it New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York.’ they came there because the doctor had an invitation via the physic paper telling him to come to the hospital to ward 26. So of course he did. To his surprise he finds his old friend the face of boe.Also he is met buy another old villain who takes over Rose’s body and tries to trick The Doctor. Eventually, all nurses, who are cats, end up being illegal human testers for new diseases and CASSANDRA lets the run riot endangering the entire planet.

Review 11: Series 2 Episode 1 (Xmas Special) The Christmas Invasion Doctor Who
Hey all people of tumblr! I know it’s been a while since I have posted a review so yeah I’M BACK!
Anyway, this review is on the first ever Christmas special on Doctor Who it’s called ‘The Christmas Invasion.’ This episode open with the new tenth doctor, played by David Tennant, and Rose Tyler crashing the TARDIS into Rose’s home in the Powell Estate. To Jackie Tyler, Rose’s Mum, and Mickey Smith, Rose’s sort of Boyfriend’s surprise they see the ‘new’ doctor and are confused and bewildered as he faints to the ground. Rose takes him to her house and lays him on the spare bed. He fainted because he regeneration cycle had not finished. The scent of the doctor’s regeneration attracted a bunch of weak aliens named Pilot Fish. However, the pilot fish work for a race of aliens named the Sycorax. So they invaded and of course it has to be Christmas day! So a giant spaceship flooded the skies of London. Our old friend Harriet Jones had recently became prime-minister and she has recently sent out a probe to Mars to search for alien life. And the Sycorax got hold of it. Now the rest is spoilers all I can say now is two words ‘BLOOD CONTROL’
Overall I give this episode a 8/10!

1 Year Today
On this day (19th april) an inspiring woman died a year ago. Elizabeth Sladen, amongst others, has been my role model as long as I can remember and when she died I felt a part of me died with her. I want to take this opportunity to remember her. I am sure she is an inspiration to many people.Rest in peace.
